Heat Detection Inside Beam Saw
April 2025
Following a fire inside a beam saw cutting high density composite materials, Raille installed spark detection and extinguishing in our customer’s dust extraction ducts to prevent ignition sources passing through to their filter.
To back-up the spark detectors, we also installed heat detectors on the moving saw carriage, to shut down the machine if the temperature inside its blade enclosure exceeds a safe threshold.
System Upgrade for Schuetz, Worksop
February 2025
Schuetz UK in Worksop have used a spark detection system for several years, covering their plastics recycling line. In February the spark detection system was replaced as part of a plant upgrade and expansion.
Now, 3 recycling lines are covered with flame detectors and heat detectors triggering 3 separate argon gas extinguishing systems.
Factory Mutual approval for Raille / T&B spark detection

Raille supply spark detection systems manufactured by T&B Electronic, which have insurance industry approval by VdS in Germany.
In January 2025, Factory Mutual approved T&B’s spark detection system, extending recognition of the equipment outside Europe.
